Where history is fun and adventure…

7 Chieftains Historic Adventure Park

We’ve set the goal to provide each and every member of even multi-generational families with the opportunity to relax and have fun. The location perfectly fits the requirements of the national curriculum as well, which supports ‘active learning’, so that the knowledge obtained here can turn into practical skills.

The Adventure Park, without noticing, helps children obtain knowledge of their home country, and strengthens their patriotism. Visiting the Adventure Park gives a package of all kinds of experience one can wish for – not only to the senses, but also to the body and mind. The portrait gallery of Hungarian kings and the permanent exhibition in the yurts presents the history of the area in the age of Árpád’s conquest of Hungary in a unique way. The permanent exhibition in the yurts teaches visitors in a spectacular and enjoyable way, offering a great deal of knowledge, in reliance to the latest archaeological and anthropological findings of the area, as well as the most authentic historic sources.

“Garabonciás” Farm

The “Garabonciás” Farm is a small-scale farm from the 21st century, with animal and crop farming. This farm provides the majority of ‘organic-type’ food that is offered in the Aphrodite**** Hotel Venus***superior in Zalakaros.

The “Garabonciás” Farm is more than just a peasant economy, as it offers adventures as well: popular programmes include horse riding, travelling on a covered waggon, hunter’s carriage or a white bride’s carriage, visiting the farm and petting animals (also with a tourist guide, at a date and time of your choosing).

Visitors can find here cackling chicken, happy pigs sunbathing and rolling in the mud, gentle bunnies, spotted cows, proud Hungarian grey cattle, lambs and goats that provide cheese, and freely running horses. All this can bring a smile to your lips, so that you can forget about the everyday rush and problems for a while.
